VA Medical Center in Wilmington, DE needs refurbishment of lab and kitchen walk-in refrigeration and freezer systems.
Demolition and replacement of refrigeration system components (condensing units, evaporators, line sets, controls, door seals, and damaged flooring) for 4 kitchen/canteen walk-ins and 1 lab walk-in. Contractor furnishes all materials, equipment, labor, and supervision. Walk-in insulated panels excluded from replacement.
- Comply with VA security management program and obtain VA police authorization for all employees
- Implement VA Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) requirements including dust control program with written plan submitted to COR and ICRA team
- Perform all work between 7:00 pm and 5:30 am, including weekends if necessary, with coordination to minimize campus disruption
- Integrate new walk-in controls with building automation system for monitoring
- Comply with OSHA 29 CFR Parts 1910 and 1926, EPA 40 CFR, and Delaware state environmental and safety codes
