Presolicitation Notice for Tower Maintenance IDIQ
Commerce Department is establishing an indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract for inspection, structural repair, and engineering support of 160+ NEXRAD weather radar towers nationwide.
The contractor will perform periodic and emergency tower inspections; structural repairs (welds, fasteners, corrosion treatment); replacement of damaged components; restoration of galvanic coatings; and engineering change proposals for WSR-88D radar towers supporting the tri-agency NEXRAD program at locations across the continental U.S. and overseas.
- Demonstrated experience with steel tower inspection, repair, and coating restoration
- Ability to work at remote mountainous sites with seasonal access restrictions
- Competency in engineering evaluations and structural analysis for communication/radar towers
- SBA small-business certification (Total Small Business Set-Aside)
- Valid prevailing-wage compliance (DOL wage determination applies)
