Veterans Affairs needs a service-disabled veteran-owned contractor to design and build a centralized emergency power system at Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center in Wichita, KS.
Construct a centralized emergency power system including three 3MW diesel generators, underground medium-voltage distribution networks, a new 5,100 GSF blast-rated generator building, fuel storage tanks, HVAC systems, site utilities, security infrastructure, and full commissioning. Work replaces existing distributed generators to support current facility and future 150,000 sq ft campus expansion.

- Ability to manage complex multidisciplinary coordination (electrical, mechanical, civil, structural, security, communications)
- Compliance with VA, federal, state, and local codes including NFPA and VA Physical Security and Resiliency Design Manual (PSRDM)
- Experience with mission-critical infrastructure requiring phased construction with no loss of emergency power
