FY26 SAVANNAH INNER HARBOR MAINTENANCE DREDGING PROJECT

The Department of Defense (Savannah District) seeks a dredging contractor to perform maintenance dredging in the Savannah Inner Harbor, Georgia, removing up to 5.6 million cubic yards of sediment over approximately one year.

Furnish personnel, equipment, and materials to perform hydraulic cutterhead maintenance dredging operations in the Savannah Inner Harbor, including mobilization/demobilization, obstruction removal, material placement in confined upland disposal areas, and coordination with other contractors and environmental regulations.

• Capability to operate a hydraulic cutterhead dredge at the scale and depth specified (up to 47 ft. MLLW)
• Ability to coordinate with multiple government and local sponsor agencies (Georgia DOT, Port Authorities, US Fish & Wildlife Service)
• Compliance with environmental windows (Striped Bass spawning April 1–May 15, dissolved oxygen July 1–September 30, sturgeon protection May 1–October 31)
• Equipment and expertise for obstruction removal and dive team operations
• Capacity to manage dredged material placement and cadmium testing/special handling if required
