NIST Boulder needs a general contractor to remove and replace a laboratory fume hood system, countertops, ductwork, and associated mechanical/electrical/plumbing systems in Building 2, Room 1330.
Remove and replace an existing tabletop fume hood and rooftop exhaust fan system, including demolition of countertops, cabinetry, and finishes, and installation of new walk-in fume hood, hazardous exhaust fan, exhaust stack, ductwork, electrical circuits, cable tray, lightning protection reconnection, plumbing, fire alarm panic system, structural stack supports, and ASHRAE 110 performance testing.
- Attendance at mandatory site visit on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at 2:30 PM (register by June 15, 2026)
- Must submit list of individuals attending site visit by June 15, 2026
- Experience with laboratory fume hood replacement and ASHRAE 110 testing
- Ability to coordinate construction activities with NIST personnel in active research environment
- Capability to perform structural design and installation of exhaust fan stack supports
- Licensed for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work or ability to subcontract these trades
